Dance Information

Tami fell in love with dance at three years old, when she began training in ballet and tap. By the time she was ten, she had begun more intensive dance training and included gymnastics at Vickis Dance Studio in Muncie, Indiana. With Tamis training and passion for teaching children, God has led her to opening Dance by Design. Tami has instructed primary ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz and hip hop over the past ten years, including six years at Beths Dancenter. Over the last seven years, Tami has also choreographed for her church, The Ridge, in their Arts Clubs, X-kids, Sunday Services, and their three year Christmas Production, Celebrate Christmas. Tami is thankful for the continued love, prayer, and support of her family. She gives all the glory to God for what He has and will accomplish through Dance by Design. Kirsten came to be a part of Dance By Design when her daughter, Sam, began dancing with Tami in 2007. Her love for the studio and its mission grew from there. Kirsten started working at Southside Elementary when Sam started kindergarten in 2006 with the Book Buddy program. Then in 2007 she became a TA for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing. She truly enjoys working with kids and seeing them grow and learn. Kirsten is married to Tony and has three kids (Michael, Samantha and Adam). Melissas love of dance began at the age of four with her performance of Baby Take a Bow in her first recital and grew from there. She studied tap and jazz with local dance studios over the next fifteen years, and was a four year member of her schools drill and dance teams. Melissa previously taught tap at Beths Dance Center, and coached dance teams for both Central Middle School and Columbus North High School. In her day job, Melissa is the Real Estate Property Manager for Circle Ks Midwest Division. She and her husband, Bill, have three grown children: Meryn, Patrick and Sean.
