Canada's only national archives, publisher and resource centre dedicated to Canadian Dance Dance Collection Danse is a unique organization straddling the performing arts, museum and archival communities. At its core, DCD exists to preserve Canada’s dance heritage and share it internationally through programming such as virtual and live exhibits, screenings, lectures, workshops, education, dance animation, catalogues, annual magazine, books, and by supporting research. DCD is also the producer of the annual the Encore! Dance Hall of Fame gala. The hall honours and celebrates dynamic lifelong contributions to dance in Canada by some remarkable individuals. Inductees are associated with many dance disciplines - from Indian classical dance to ballet to modern.
