Contemporary Media, Inc. is a Memphis-based publishing company, producing newspapers and magazines for the Bluff City and the surrounding Mid South Region. Locally-owned and operated, CMi publishes a monthly city magazine (Memphis magazine, founded in 1976), a weekly newspaper, (The Memphis Flyer, founded in 1989), a monthly parenting tabloid (Memphis Parent, founded in 1990), and a bi-monthly businessmagazine, (MBQ: Inside Memphis Business, founded in 2006); it also maintains news and information websites connected with all four publications. Additionally, Contemporary Media operates a custom-publishing division which produces a wide variety of newsletters, magazines, and collateral material for regional corporate clients large and small. With a staff of 50 and creative resources second to none in the region, CMi strives to provide Memphis with quality journalistic products that enhance the quality of life in the region, and marketing opportunities for over a thousand different business advertisers.
