Colchester English Study Centre Information

Colchester English Study Centre (CESC) is a well-established independent language centre, set up in 1969 in Colchester. We are the only open enrolment, year-round English language centre in Colchester for adult students aged 16 and over. As an open-enrolment centre - our students choose to study at a time in the year convenient to them. We are a member of English UK, accredited by the British Council, with Highly Trusted Status, we have also undergone Educational oversight by the ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate). We take enrolments directly from individual students, businesses and from a network of worldwide agents. We also take bookings for groups from schools. We offer Professional Business English courses, Teacher Training, Examination Preparation and Main Course English as well as English for Special Purposes. The normal minimum length of stay is 2 weeks. We are also an approved examination centre for IELTS, Cambridge English and TOEIC. International Language Holidays (Summer School) is the junior branch of Colchester English Study Centre, and is run with the same care and professionalism as the adult school. ILH has been running since 1988 and has its own separate Accreditation with the British Council, and is inspected rigorously every 4 years.
