Clever Polly's is an Omakase restaurant. Omakase is a Japanese phrase that means "I'll leave it up to you". The menu is based around what's good on the day as we strive to make the most of the beautiful ingredients that we have access to. The meal is built around several individual small plates that are inspired by Japanese cuisine. Expect delicate flavours, some Japanese ingredients, and local ingredients prepared in Japanese style. We truly believe that this food matches perfectly with the natural wine, nihonshu and craft beer we serve. This is how we love to eat and we feel that our Omakase menu provides our guests with a dining experience that comes from the heart. We have two Omakase options available priced at either $40 or $60 per person. You can begin the menu at three different points every Monday-Saturday night at either 5.30, 7 or 8.30pm as well as Sunday lunch at either 12 or 1.30pm. We can cater for most dietary requirements and allergies, provided we are informed of them when you book. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early so we can begin Omakase on time. For group bookings of six or more, there is the opportunity for us to tailor a more extensive menu including as many or as few extras as you'd like. We're dreamers, and want to allow you to be as well. To hold true to Clever Polly's first breaths as a wine bar, we always try our best to save some space for walk-ins and offer a small selection that can be ordered a la carte Monday-Saturday from 3pm onwards and Sunday from 12-4pm, such as our much-loved sweet potato chips, beef tartare and comté.
