Welcome to the Chef's Resource, thank you for visiting. This store was founded in 1999 to provide the best quality tools for gourmets. This is a highly-curated site, every item has been selected by the owner to add to the site. The owner Rick Smith had a "foodie" background. He cooked with his mother since he was a kid and worked in restaurants in high school and college. The site was started in 1999 as an additional business venture, in addition to his 10 year computer technology career at the time. 2013 will be our 15th year online. We've certainly grown since 1999, but our hand-picking of items for the site hasn't change, nor has our love of cooking. These aren't widgets to us, they're things we use whenever possible.
