Cardiff Capital Region Information

Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) is a partnership of the ten councils that make up South East Wales, including Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Cardiff, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Torfaen, and Vale of Glamorgan. We are a regional public body, also known as a Corporate Joint Committee (CJC). CJCs enable greater collaboration between local councils and create a more simplified and democratically-controlled way of regional working. Since 2017, we've been working to improve our residents' quality of life. We invest in high-growth businesses, digital and physical infrastructure, and the South Wales Metro transport system to develop a stronger, fairer, and greener region in which to live, work, and invest.
