CAFRELEC Information

My name is Greg ANCELIN, I am French, 33 years old. I have now been living in Cameroon for 8 years, having reached today the position of Executive Vice President within CAFRELEC Company. CAFRELEC was founded in 1952. It is the former ALCATEL subsidiary in Cameroon. We are specialized in “Telecommunication Networks”, with a headcount of 60 people located in Douala and Yaoundé. Our customer base mainly consists of multinational and middle-sized companies: Landline and Mobile Telephony Operators and Internet Service Providers. I originally started as an “inventive and challenging sales engineer”, 12 years ago when I joined a SIEMENS Telecom. I now act and think more as a polyvalent senior executive. My job assignment consists of managing all Sales, Administrative and Technical Teams. June 2005, Chairman and CAFRELEC’s shareholders urged my come-back at the Douala Head Office, appointing me Executive Vice President with precise job assignments: Executive task, entering and developing new activities, growing market shares, increasing profitability. 2 years later, within an unfavourable economic trend, and increasing direct/indirect competition, all these objectives have been reached. We have negotiated partnerships with key manufacturers, delivering solutions on market segment that we had not addressed before, we have obtained new technical skills and we have created new key departments which are uprunning. Finally, we have gained market shares from competition without losing ground in any segment, we have increased our turnover by 50% while maintaining margin (+30%). I am now looking for a new challenge in Cameroon or anywhere, still in Telecommunication industry but not any longer as an integrator. I would prefer taking an active part in a new Telecommunication Fixed or Mobile Deployment project for a Telephony or Internet Provider. I am looking for a real executive challenge, in a job position that may vary depending on the company’s structure.
