Legend has it that when the gods asked Brahma to create a Veda that could be understood by commoners, he created the panchamaveda (fifth Veda) called natyaveda. Drawing pathya (words) from the Rig-Veda, abhinaya (gesture) from the yajurveda, get (music and chant) from samaveda, and rasa (sentiment and emotional element) from atharvaveda, he synthesized natyaveda. After creating natyaveda, Brahma asked sage Bharata Muni to popularize this Veda on earth. Sage bharata wrote natya-sastra a great comprehensive work on the science and technique of indian drama, dance, and music. Sridhar Hollas philanthropic nature has shown the way for many poor and interested students take up free training at Bharathanjali. Believing in a healthy and ideal society, which sans caste, creed and religion, Mr. Holla, was instrumental in establishing a youth group Katipalla Yuvaka Mandala and leading it from the front as the president. Dubbed as a very sensitive zone by the civic authority, Katipalla has not deterred Mr. Holla from organizing and conducting several cultural programmes by inviting artists and poets of eminence, from all over Karnataka. Organizing a communal harmony meet under the stewardship of Hon. Sri Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, during the sensitive times of communal disharmony, is truly a feather in the cap of Sri. Sridhar Holla. His social concerns and commitments are reflected by some path breaking work under taken by the Katipalla Yuvaka Mandala, such as, Health and medical camps, free eye camps, Aids awareness, free check up camps for handicapped, civic awareness camps, Police-public interaction, cultural, literary meets, sports, games and athletic meets..Etc.
