The purpose of the BC Hockey Hall of Fame is to honour and recognize excellence and achievement within the sport of ice hockey within British Columbia, Canada, and to record the history of ice hockey within British Columbia and elsewhere. The BC Hockey Hall of Fame gathers and displays memorabilia of ice hockey within British Columbia and elsewhere for the carrying out the purposes of the society. The British Columbia Hockey Hall of Fame was established in 1994 to honour the Province of BC's elite players, teams, coaches, referees and builders of the game of hockey. The actual facility is located in the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton.
