The AWSM software solution accomplishes what many audio engineers considered to be unachievable: It protects an original waveform from degrading during compression encoding, and it restores a sound file to its original pre-compressed state after decoding. AWSM requires to be only on one side of an audio process flow to work. By protecting and restoring waveforms, AWSM enables compression ranges previously considered to be sub-standard.
