Red and White is a piece of San Francisco history. Family owned and operated for over 130 years, we are responsible stewards of San Francisco Bay and we practice sustainable tourism.
Sip & Savor opened July 5, 2011 as a neighborhood restaurant serving California wine country inspired food and wine. We operate in an 1893 Victorian home in Northwest Plano. This is a twenty table restaurant that is focused on delivering a special dining experience in a casual and unhurried environment.
Our menu is created by John and Teresa working together to deliver California inspired offerings; fresh, local when possible, and the best quality available. Our seafood is always wild caught sustainable species from USA waters. Our meats are simply the top of line to offer on a menu. Check our menu for descriptions of source growers, farms and ranches.
Teresa and I keep Sip & Savor relevant by visiting Napa, Sonoma and other California wine growing regions to search out the best chefs and restaurants that have this same philosophy, and we eat our way through their offerings to learn about new ingredients, preparations and techniques that we can bring back to you.
Likewise our wine list is maintained in the same manner. We travel often to seek out new wines. Visiting wineries can tell you so much more about the history, location and practices that make truly great wines, and the experience helps to create a memory of the wines and the people. Wines from Whitehall Lane, Truchard, J. Davies and Lancaster all were discoveries in Napa and Sonoma that ended up on our list. Our philosophy is to work with smaller family wineries, and to ensure that the farming and winery practices have the least impact on the land they steward.
