American Dance Alliance Information

American Dance Alliance was established in 1995 by Susan Gordon, President of Algy Costumes and designs, as an Auxiliary summer camp. She hired 3 directors to head up the 3 divisions; Rosanna Karpiak for dance, Tony Florio for Color Guard, and Mike Dressman for Drum majors and band officers. This was a one stop camp for Band directors to bring their Band and auxiliary groups to learn new choreography and leadership skills. After 5 successful years of summer camp, some of the directors moved on into other professions so with these changes in the directorship, Susan Gordon sold the company to Rosanna Karpiak who fashioned the camp into a dance and leadership camp and added the dance team competition component. In 2001 American Dance Alliance, under dance teacher and director Rosanna Karpiak, flourished and became a premier dance authority and presence in Florida. Regional and State dance contest were established in Melbourne and Miami. Dance and Leadership camps were established in Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. The company staff of choreographers and teachers was exceptional. Some of the best professionals in the dance community were part of the American Dance Alliance family. Teachers, Coaches and directors brought their students to camp and contest from all over Florida. In 2013, Mrs. Rosanna Karpiak turned the company over to her daughter Kelsie Karpiak, American Dance Alliance was now present in social media and growing strong. On July 4th, 2014, a boating accident took the life of the young president of ADA. In 2015 American Dance Alliance was sold to ADA Family Jimmy Arguello, Natalia Gonzalez & Arianne Diaz, who combined have been with ADA for over 12 years.
