Adventure's Edge located at 131 Pleasant St. in downtown Morgantown specializes in clothing and gear for just about any outdoor pursuit. Adventure's Edge has the most technically trained staff in the area, especially when it comes to backpack and footwear fit. Many foot doctors and physical therapists in the area actually send their patients to Adventure's Edge for their expert boot and shoe fitting. The Edge staff has outfitted individuals to climb mountains all over the world and the family who just wants to get out for the weekend. This locally owned and operated store has been in Morgantown since 1923. It begain as an old Army Surplus Store and has evolved into one of the best outdoor stores in state. There is still a section of the store dedicated to the army store roots. If there is one thing the Adventure's Edge staff and ownership are most proud of, it is the community service work that they participate and/or promote every year. The most notable event sponsored is the Banff Mountain Film Festival, but there are many; The Morgantown Adventure Film Festival, Coopers Rock Cliff and Trail Restoration Day, Friends of Deckers Creek Adventure Day, Friends of Cheat Cheat Fest, the Mon River Trails Half Marathon and many others. Adventure's Edge has a great selection of outdoor gear, camping equipment, outdoor clothing and many outdoor and camping products that have been tried and tested by our staff. We take great strides to search for outdoor gear and clothing that will withstand the elements and make your outdoor experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our staff loves to get outdoors and use what we sell. We support each product that we carry and hope we can make your outdoor experience that much more fun and exciting.
