At Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI), we exist to inspire and enable life outside for everyone.
We believe that it’s in the wild, untamed and natural places that we find our best selves, so our purpose is to awaken a lifelong love of the outdoors, for all.
Since 1938, we have been your local outdoor co-op, working to help you experience the transformational power of nature. We bring you top-quality gear and apparel, expert advice, rental equipment, inspiring stories of life outside and outdoor experiences to enjoy alone or share with your friends and family. And because we have no shareholders, with every purchase you make with REI, you are choosing to steward the outdoors, support sustainable business and help the fight for life outside.
So whether you’re new to the outdoors or a seasoned pro, we hope you’ll join us.
Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) began in 2003 as a grassroots effort to provide care and comfort items to the hospital bedsides of wounded service members returning home from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. More than two decades later, Wounded Warrior Project is the nation's leading veteran service organization, focused on the total well-being of post-9/11 wounded, ill, or injured veterans.
Keeping the promise to care for our nation’s veterans requires the expertise and energy of a diverse and committed team. We build and lead programs that help warriors find purpose and thrive. We provide essential lifelines to families and caregivers. We advocate tirelessly with policymakers. We raise awareness to celebrate the service and honor the sacrifice of all veterans.
The support of generous donors and corporate partners allows us to provide programs at no cost to warriors and their families. Talented WWP teammates across the country work together to ensure that no warrior is left behind. Together, we're changing the way our nation cares for veterans for generations to come.

Founded in 1985, the National Ability Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit, tax-exempt organization. With the generosity of private donors, corporate sponsorships, and the commitment of over a thousand seasonal volunteers, we can serve our non-profit mission and bridge the gap between perceived limitations and what is possible. All activities are offered at an affordable rate and scholarships are available, ensuring participation for all applicants.
The NAC staff draws from decades of collective experience working with people who live with a disability and harnessing the power of specialized adaptive equipment, techniques, and teaching methods. Athletes, veterans, children, and families come to our facilities from all 50 US states and around the globe to participate in our transformational programs.
We work hard to make recreation and outdoor adventures fun and accessible to people of all abilities. Our “I Can” philosophy reinforces our belief that a disability shouldn’t hinder anyone from living a vibrant, active, and rewarding life.
