The Academy of Organisation Excellence, led by Allan Mackay was formed to provide a new approach to training and consultancy for our clients who are facing a continuing period of dramatic change The Academy’s fundamental mission is to provide excellent training that meets its client’s needs. Allan brings a unique perspective to the organisation, as his working life is evenly split between the private and public sectors. Allan works as a turnaround specialist in private organisations in service and manufacturing organisations, and has wide experience of the NHS. This NHS experience comes from his role as a speaker and chair at national healthcare conferences, a trainer with leading training and development companies, a partner in the former Post Graduate Medical Education Training Board, (PMETB) a Lead Partner in the General Medical Council (GMC) specialising in quality and certification panels and from assessments carried out for the National Clinical Assessment Service (NCAS). This unique insight into the evolving new era in the NHS allows Allan to target training to where support is needed and where existing offerings fall short. He has built a team of renowned training specialists to deliver on his agenda and meet the criteria of the Core Dimensions within the NHS Key Skills Framework (NHS-KSF), CPD and other industry accreditations. All of the courses and training programmes have been written since the change of Government and will continue to evolve as objectives become more widely understood. The Academy is about delivering a completely fresh range of training methods in the classroom and then turning the theory into action back in the work place to achieve Excellent Organisation implementation.
