Techstars helps founders scale their startups into world-changing businesses. The French Tech Acceleration team within BPI France’s Innovation Division is dedicated to investing in start-up support structures such as accelerators and startup studios. Our current strategy is to primarily focus on supporting start-up studios initiatives, especially those operating in deeptech sectors (Greentech, Medtech, Biotech, Cybersecurity, Quantum systems etc…) which require significant capital needs. Deeptech startup studios aim to create high potential start-up developing disruptive technologies mainly resulting from the research work of public laboratories. In addition, we also support other growth sectors like construction sector, industry 4.0 or e-health. With 300M€ under management, we co-invest up to 50% of the rounds, with tickets from 1M€ to 10M€. The current portfolio is composed of 7 accelerators: 1Kubator, Axeleo, Héméra, Hook Invest, Schoolab, The Refiners and Wesprint, and 5 startup studios: Alacrité, Imagination Machine, MD Start II, Quatroccento and Technofounders. ******* L’équipe French Tech Accélération (Direction Innovation de Bpifrance) a vocation d’investir dans des structures d’accélération de types accélérateurs ou startup studios. Notre stratégie actuelle consiste à investir davantage dans des startup studios, notamment ceux Deeptech (Greentech, Biotech, etc), où les besoins capitalistiques sont importants, mais aussi dans d’autres secteurs d’avenir comme l’industrie 4.0 ou bien la e-santé. Les start-up studios deeptech ont pour objectif de créer des jeunes pousses développant des innovations de rupture à fortes barrières technologiques, principalement issues des travaux de recherche des laboratoires publics. Avec 300M€ sous gestion, nous co-investisons à hauteur de maximum 50% des tours de table avec des tickets de 1M€ à 10M€.
