The YogaFlow Logo is a combination of Anahata, the Heart Chakra, a 12 petal green lotus flower, representing the gateway between the material and spiritual worlds; and Natarajasana or Dancer Pose representing the cosmic dance of transformation. This dance is not for mere entertainment but rather to transcend our limited ego to the boundless, blissful, infinite state of union which is eternal. The word yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning union. Yoga strengthens, stretches, and unites our body, mind and spirit. Flow means to move with ease and grace in an unbroken continuity. When we practice YogaFlow we learn to move freely with ease and grace from the heart in union with body, mind & spirit. YogaFlow is an eclectic vinyasa hatha style inspired by the teachings of Krishnamacharya who revolutionized hatha yoga as we know it today. Vinyasa means to synchronize the breath with mindful movement of the body, creating yoga flow sequences making the practice a meditative dance. Safety first is our motto so alignment and proper position is key to learning the yoga asanas or postures. As the saying goes, good training lasts a lifetime and bad training takes a lifetime to correct! The YogaFlow style was created by working with a strong foundation in alignment, breath centered practices and therapeutic applications. By incorporating all three of these aspects we in turn create safe exercises where everyone will walk away receiving exactly what they need.
