Worldcast has developed an Internet software solution for worldwide interactive television to mass audiences. This will change the way the world watches television, bringing tremendous economic opportunities and consumer benefits. Current Internet solutions, which use unicast technology, do not scale, i.e., only a very limited number of customers can receive service simultaneously; therefore, there is no business model. Worldcast’s SMART (Secure Multipoint for Advanced Repeating of Telecommunications) technology overcomes these barriers. Worldcast has emerged from a grassroots effort to bring an entirely new multipoint communications model to the billions of Internet users worldwide. Our intent is to replace current legacy Internet transport technology with a far better architecture. We are also dedicated to the practice of empowering and challenging others who are working on existing and evolving broadband IP and IPTV delivery systems, by providing them with the tools and design topologies necessary to help us collectively develop enhanced Internet protocols through both open and proprietary technologies.
