Wordfest Information

Wordfest connects audiences of all ages and backgrounds with life-changing experiences on Calgary’s stages, featuring some of today’s most compelling writers, thinkers, and dreamers. Now in its 23rd year, Wordfest is a non-profit charitable arts organization that produces 180 events a year featuring 120+ artists. CRA# 850647835rr0001 Our year-round programming culminates in a week-long reader’s festival held every April and October. Wordfest’s hallmark events include readings, workshops, panel discussions, trivia nights, adult spelling bees, live storytelling, and in-school presentations from authors writing in every genre and for all ages.
