Word and Colour Magazine Information

We send writers art, who write what the colour inspires. These stories aim to confront oppression or provide positive alternatives to stereotypes, sharing the experiences of ‘real’ people, with a goal to alter the way we are socialized, and celebrate the beauty of the world that is often missing. We believe that art and fiction can play a role in the collective effort to break apart the dehumanizing stereotypes that influence audiences to consent to, or enact, acts of violence, countering this normalization with a positive and radical change in which we view the world.
