Scenic World is Australia's most visited privately-owned tourism attraction, with over one million visitors annually. Set within the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, the company is a third generation family business. Established in 1945 when Harry Hammon converted the abandoned Katoomba Colliery into the Scenic Railway, it continues to be owned and operated by the same family. Scenic World offers four attractions including: Scenic Railway - the world's steepest train Scenic Skyway - highest cablecar in Australia Scenic Cableway - steepest and largest cablecar in Australia Scenic Walkway - longest elevated boardwalk in the Southern Hemisphere Scenic World is now managed by Anthea Hammon and is one of the largest employers in the Blue Mountains, employing over 160 local residents.

Blue Mountains Adventure Company is one of the original Blue Mountains adventure companies and since its inception has always been owned and operated by local guides keen to share their passion for the adventures that they love. Established in 1984 as Blue Mountains Climbing School by a passionate climber and keen canyoner, the company delivered the first guided canyons in Australia. As the activities expanded and the reputation of the company grew, Blue Mountains Climbing School became Blue Mountains Adventure Company (BMAC) and the adventures kept rolling! In it's history, BMAC has conducted thousands of adventures: in abseiling, rockclimbing, canyoning, bushwalking and much more.
