Wisdom Flow Yoga Information

Wisdom Flow Yoga offers one of the most comprehensive and fun effective teacher trainings on the planet. We offer a 200 hour program October 15-29, 2016, January 16-30, 2017 and Weekends June-August 2017. We begin with a clear vision of the underlying philosophy - that every living being arises from and is rooted in divine energy, that we come to earth to joyfully expand and refine the expressions of Source Energy (aka Love), and by deepening our knowledge of body and mind we can focus our energy towards this fruitful expansion and keep fear at bay. From this core philosophy we unfold the methodology of asana, pranayama, meditation, and more. Each day includes time for every student to take the "seat of the teacher" and practice using the voice of clear loving leadership. With this daily practice of voicing the material covered, teaching skills develop quickly. We dive deep into the science of how the body works looking at joint congruency, fascia trains and optimal alignment within the poses. Working with a set of core alignment principles, we learn to see the tendencies of misalignment and compensatory movement and teach students to "lean into optimal alignment" so they grow in harmony with the body's sacred design. Students learn to weave stories and themes into their classes to bring the deeper wisdom of the Yoga Philosophy into the asanas making them into "embodied intention" or "moving prayers".
