We are a non-profit organization with one goal. To raise money for medical research to treat and hopefully find a cure for vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, which is badly needed for several reasons. The two most important are that too little money is made available for research into these diseases and the expectation that, within three decades, Alzheimer’s disease disease will strike one of each two elders. We do not ask you to donate and we do not choose to be dependent on donations. We do not want to get in the way of non-profit organizations that ask for your donations and support in their battle against Alzheimer’s disease. Instead, we create added value to the good cause of those organizations by independently generating revenues to help finance medical research to hopefully find a cure for vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. When our loved ones pass away who they were and what they meant to the people in their lives, remains preserved forever in a Memorial Site at wirwun. Their Site is accessible from anywhere and from every device. Memorial Sites remain on wirwun indefinitely so future generations learn more about their ancestors. On wirwun your ‘click behavior’ is not being monitored or recorded. We respect your privacy and keep wirwun ‘espionage free’. That is why wirwun is not ‘for free’. You do not pay ‘annual fees’. No ‘recurring’ or ‘other costs’. One payment only of US$75 (or the equivalent in your currency) suffices. Each Memorial Site comes with a Memorial Shield, that holds the name of the deceased and a unique QR code of the Memorial Site. By scanning the Memorial Shield with your tablet or phone, the Memorial Site will immediately open up in a (new) browser screen on your phone or tablet. When you create a wirwun account we offer to inform all known social media and email providers about the passing of your loved one. All you need is a digital document (scan, pdf, etc.) of the death certificate.
