Win Win Earth Information

Win Win Earth is an organisation that was created to offer an alternative approach to the current methods of conservation. This is due to the fact that we feel current strategies are not working as effectively as is needed and that unless a more sustainable approach is found, the future of wildlife and natural parks is in jeopardy. Wildlife are under threat from many kinds of human activities, from directly destroying habitat to spreading invasive species and disease; most ecosystems are facing multiple threats. The decline of species and loss of habit clearly show that current methods are failing. This is most acutely and urgently shown in the ongoing decimation of the Rhino population within the Kruger National Park. As is most dramatically demonstrated by this crisis, it is evident that the conservation community needs a new approach. As an organisation we aim to outline a significant shift in terms of the methodology of conservation and, specifically, securing the future wellbeing of national parks, both within South Africa and, globally. In essence, we believe that the only way to ensure this is to create genuine, authentic partnerships with the communities surrounding the parks, such that they derive real, tangible benefits from the parks and are thus invested in the continued survival and flourishment thereof. Thus, creating a Win/Win solution for people and wildlife.
