WesternEye is an editorially independent student newspaper supported by the Students' Union at UWE for the benefit of all students at the University of the West of England in Bristol. Founded in 2002 by a member of the Students' Union, WesternEye first gained independence in 2010 and now is run entirely by a dedicated team of volunteer student journalists.
