China has been the largest Shipbuilding country lately and through past more than 20 years development, Wärtsilä China Ltd. is well positioned for Ship Power and Service business. It has established strong footprint through its fully owned subsidiaries, joint ventures and long-term licensing agreements. Its headquarters is in Shanghai, China. In the marine market, some leading Chinese ship owners and shipyards are not only Wärtsilä customers, but also JV partners. Wärtsilä Services provides service and maintenance to its customers in China through nine locations. In the energy markets, Wärtsilä has delivered altogether 3,500 MW of power plants to China. Including Wärtsilä joint venture companies, there are currently more than 1,500 Wärtsilä employees working in China.
