Wafflemeister is a proudly independent business with roots dating back to 1999. It all began with our love for waffles—specifically, the legendary Belgian Liège waffle. Our signature dough is based on a cherished family recipe from 1950, passed down through generations and refined by us over the years to enhance its taste and quality. We craft our dough using only natural ingredients in the town of Liège, Belgium— the birthplace of the original waffle over 400 years ago. Unlike Brussels waffles, which are made from a liquid batter, Liège waffles are made from rich dough pieces, studded with pearl sugar. As the dough bakes, the sugar caramelises on the outside, giving our waffles their distinctive sweet crunch and golden shine.
