3G Broadcasting, Inc was founded in 2010 by Bonnie and Ken Gomes. After many years of managing numerous radio stations in all size markets for the major broadcasting entities, Bonnie decided it was time for change. Her vision was to make radio local again, like the days of old. Bonnie wanted her stations to be a part of the community and her audience, a part of her stations. With today's growing trend of syndicated programming, 3G Broadcasting felt it was time to bring back local jocks and programming to engage the listeners and put them in the show. 3G Broadcasting, Inc purchased Oyster Radio WOYS and Hitz106 WOCY on the Forgotten Coast of Florida in 2010. Even though the company was operating in Florida, they have always considered New England home. In the beginning of 2013, an opportunity to return to New England presented itself. 3G Broadcasting is excited to announce their new venture as owners of Variety 99.3 and WADK in Newport, RI.
