VIT-B works in the existing city on the field of architectural design, research and advice. Specialised in dealing with the precious legacy of post-war modernistic neighbourhoods. New approaches for the vulnerable existing housing stock have to be developed based on a coherent view on both physical as socio-economic and cultural characteristics. VIT-B combines this research on urban scale with the design and execution of renovation projects onto the small scale of individual houses, as we believe that the city of the future will be a mutation of the city of today, generated in a lot of small steps.
