A need few organizations were capable of meeting. That need was made clear to us by the repeated cries for help from small to medium sized business owners, and it went something like this: "We need better communications and security within our business, but there's just nobody around here that can help us". Seeing that need, we decided to take our combined 20 years of experience in various fields such as telecom, networking, computer sales and service - and bring it all under one roof. Without an actual office to operate out of - we installed our first phone system with a customer in January 2017 and have been going strong ever since. God made it possible for us to find a great office space with access to multiple internet providers (if you'd like to hear the amazing story behind this, we'd be glad to share), and the ability to create this business from nothing without the need to find loans and/or investors! That allows us to treat & service customers with respect and love, not as a commodity. In fact, we are so committed to God's plan for VirtualTelco, we have a created a long-term Vision Plan which we think will be quite surprising to most of our customers! We are based in Cookeville, TN but cover all of the Cumberland Plateau as well as most areas in middle Tennessee. We are CompTIA (ID # COMP001000330090) A+ and Network+ Certified, and are Veteran owned and operated. We believe in keeping ourselves professional and only doing this "the right way". Did you know, that the state of Tenenssee requires licensure to install camera systems? . They do!, under the Alarm Contractors Licensing act of 1991 - CCTV (camera systems) is included in that law. Tennessee Code Annoated, Title 62, Chapter 32, Part 3 outlines the laws, rules & oversight of all Tennessee Alarm Contractors. This law was put into place to ensure that utmost attention is paid to the chain of custody when deailing with premesis security & detailed information. This is important because you don't want just any old "joe" to know where your cameras are, what they look at, which points of entry are controlled (or not), and the like. Additionally, you want your contractor to be insured, and this law requires proof be provided to the state of that insurance prior to license issuance. Tennessee provides an easy to use tool to verify contractor licensure here: Verify.tn.gov. Helpful tip: Select "Alarm Contractor" in the "Profession" field, and enter "2080" in the "License #" box.
