A unique climbing and fitness experience, Brooklyn Boulders (BKB) opened its doors in 2009, in the old Daily News Garage in Brooklyn, NY. With facilities now nestled in the hearts of New York, Boston and Chicago, BKB combines play, work and life, by creating and fostering a diverse community of climbers, creatives, artists, fitness enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs, with the aim of Becoming Superhuman Together.
Whether interpreted literally (massive rocks, weirdly yet creatively crafted in Brooklyn-style), figuratively (enabling people to defy gravity, to climb without ropes...to be free), or a mixture of both, our name, Brooklyn Boulders, is all for the observer to interpret and define for themselves. BKB means many different things to many different people. But the backbone of Brooklyn? The heart and soul of Brooklyn Boulders? Our people.
GET WEIRD: Be yourself. BKB is your creative playground.
CO-CREATE: Trust your team. Results are stronger when we collaborate.
BE RELENTLESS: Take risks. Fall hard. Get back up.
MAKE IT BEAUTIFUL: Create something extraordinary. Be proud to share it. Never stop improving.
ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING: Approach challenges with confidence and grit.

The Spot opened in 2002 as one of the first two bouldering gyms in the country, with our flagship gym in the heart of Boulder, Colorado.
We've hosted some of the biggest and most influential climbing competitions in the country, including nationals-level competitions for the Professional Climbers Association and American Bouldering Series (which would eventually become USA Climbing), as well as Psychedelia (the first official blacklight climbing event). To this day, The Spot has hosted more nationals-level bouldering competitions than any other gym in the country.
In recent years, we've opened locations in Denver, Golden, and Louisville, Colorado and have taken steps to make climbing a more inclusive sport by launching the first pay-what-you-can membership model in our region.
Having served over 230,000 climbers, The Spot is on a mission to build strong bodies, healthy minds, and friendships for life.
