Founded in 1858, the University of St Andrews Rugby Football Club is the 6th oldest rugby club in the world and a founding member of the SRU. Over the years, the club has produced no fewer than 22 international players, alongside 8 Barbarians representatives and 4 British and Irish Lions. Moreover, in the first international fixture between England and Scotland in 1871, St Andrews saw three club members take the field at Raeburn Place.
