The City of Kitchener has a reputation of being a well-managed, progressive organization that focuses on a customer-driven philosophy to deliver services.
City employees thrive on the excitement of learning, and collaboration, the discovery of new opportunities and the opportunity to create Kitchener's future. We like setting our own goals and working hard to achieve them in our own style. We are fun, creative, free-thinking, inclusive, not afraid of change - and in need of a challenge. We believe in safety and wellbeing.
We apply our talents in myriad jobs and careers, from planning and engineering to IT and operations, from horticulture and customer service to fighting fires and running community centres - and so much more.
Why are we here? Because we are community stewards. We're proud of what we do and who we work for. And because we go home each night knowing that the work we do each day makes a real difference - to the 213,000 residents who count on us.
🍁Proudly Canadian.
Greenhouse is a plant-based beverage company and Certified B Corporation headquartered in Toronto. Our mission is to offer widespread, sustainable access to plant-based nutrition and wellness of the highest quality.
Our project is to make delicious, life-enhancing products; to support our local, organic farming community; to reduce food and packaging waste; and to broaden perspectives around the environmental benefits of eating and drinking more plants, more often.
Our promise is to be a welcoming and inclusive community, to anticipate needs before they are voiced, and to treat everyone with thoughtfulness and respect.
Our goal is to make it simple to savour the present while looking out for a healthy future—ours, and that of our planet.
We launched in January 2014 with a single location on Toronto's Macpherson Avenue that doubled as our production facility (by night) and our sole retail store (by day). We now have company-owned shops, grocery partners across Canada, and an online delivery and subscription service from greenhouse.ca.
FoodShare is a Toronto non-profit community food organization advocating for the right to food, and challenging the barriers to food justice.
We also have a social enterprise branch selling produce and other goodies, through which we raise funds to support our food justice programming. Find our online shop at https://shop.foodshare.net/.
