UnCabaret Information

UnCabaret has been produced by Beth, and originating producer Greg Miller, as a Comedy Central Special, a daily radio show on Comedy World Radio (100 episodes), a podcast on audible.com and three CD's. UnCabaret had extended runs at Luna Park, Knitting Factory, HBO Workspace, M Bar as well as at appearing at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival, The Getty Center, Lollapalooza, and colleges and theaters nationally. It birthed offshoot shows Say The Word and The Other Network. And is the subject of a documentary in the making by Little Miss Sunshine directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. Performances recorded at the UnCabaret have been featured on NPR shows including This American Life. UnCabaret MultiMedia also produced a 7-episode stand-up series for The Recovery Network called "The Sweet Smell of Excess" featuring Margaret Cho, Michael Patrick King, Moon Zappa, and others, and a pilot for MTV, and a talk show called "The Couch" hosted by Beth, with guests John C. Reilly, Andy Dick, Scott Thompson, and Mike Mills. UnCabaret has also consulted on talent and developed projects for Comedy Central, Oxygen, Buena Vista TV, Evolution Film & Tape, Stone-Stanley, and the Sci-Fi Channel. UnCabaret has also collaborated with the Skirball Center, Grand Performances, ACLU, Drug Policy Alliance to create special events, benefits, workshops and festivals. UnCabaret Records released 3 critically-acclaimed CDs and 2 volumes of greatest hits from "Say the Word." uncabaret.com launched in 1993, and was at the forefront of web design and online community-building. The site was Lycos Top 5% and named Entertainment Weekly Top 10 Sites of the Year in 1997.
