UMEED Information

Umeed is an organization that gives flight to the dreams of women who come from the most oppressed backgrounds within the cracks of society. The main goal of Umeed is to get these women away from the oppression and introduce them to the world of education and professional careers. Umeed works extensively with women from various backgrounds from all walks of life in and around Telangana. We are associated with multiple education institutions where we collaborate with the faculty and conduct career building workshops using a program called FirstLeap. FirstLeap, is a program for unskilled women from low income urban communities looking to join the workforce. This 2 month program will have women learn and grow through workshops and training based on 3 focus areas of life skill building, values that support their personal and professional growth and exposure and access to the world of opportunities around them. The goal is to empower women from all walks of life to reach their full potential and become the best version of themselves.
