’Twill is dubbed “the impossible magazine”, because it is an exception in the crowded world of media. And, in fact, as it doesn’t subscribe to any ideology, doctrine, trend or mainstream wisdom, it cannot count on a specific target audience or a target base of advertisers. A capital sin for any discerning publisher! This is possible only because ‘Twill has not been conceived to enrich, or glorify, its publisher. And even more because the editorial staff don’t “work for” ‘Twill, they are members of the ‘Twill community. ‘Twill, more than a magazine, is a project for intellectual and artistic freedom that crosses boundaries and conventions. But, always in search of new perspectives, ‘Twill doesn’t look for originality that has no justification. And, above all, ‘Twill despises any easy meaningless transgression and provocation. Our aim is not that of being a fashion magazine, but a serious cultural publication that also hosts original fashion, beauty and eroticism. Each issue of ‘Twill has a theme. About a third of the magazine is dedicated to academic articles on the subject. All articles are published only in their original language, with no translation (English, French, Italian). We have no particular interest in celebrated opinion makers, but we look for papers that have something intelligent to say, no matter who is the author. Therefore, we don’t publish interviews of personalities, whatever is their area of “renowned excellence”. ‘Twill is printed on high quality stock with special matt-gloss varnish finish, but is entirely readable online. ‘Twill distribution is limited and can be found in the bookshops, newsstands, art galleries and concept stores of a few large cities of the world, as well as in the library of some universities (A distribution list is on our Website). You are invited to explore the world of ‘Twill on www.Twill.info and FaceBook!
