TV Nova Information

TV Nova is the biggest commercial television station in the Czech Republic and is one of the most successful and profitable commercial TV stations in Europe. Launched in 1994, TV Nova was the first privately owned commercial network broadcasting throughout the Czech Republic. Shortly after its launch, it became the market leader in terms of the viewership, advertising revenues, usage of technology, design and graphics, marketing and PR, charitable projects and film co-productions. Acquired by Central European Media Enterprises (CME) in 2005, TV Nova broadcasts 24 hours a day, reaching 99.5% of households. TV Nova provides the top rated programming on the Czech market through a mix of its own strong local fiction and non-fiction productions, foreign acquisitions, entertainment shows and its flagship main television news that generates, on average, 55% audience share in the 15-54 target group. Some of the best performing shows on TV Nova in 2011 included the long running fiction series Rose Garden Medical Clinic (Ordinace v růžové zahradě) with an average audience share of 48.1%.
