Ultrafast Fibre is building and managing a fibre network in New Zealand's Central North Island, covering Hamilton, Tauranga, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Tokoroa, New Plymouth, Hawera and Wanganui. When completed in 2016 the network will allow 163,000 homes and businesses to connect to world-class broadband and experience the benefits that light speed offers. The fibre network build is part of the New Zealand Government's UFBI (ultra-fast broadband initiative) that will bring fibre access to 75% of the population by the end of the decade. Ultrafast Fibre is responsible for 13% of the national build. Ultrafast Fibre's head office is based in Hamilton with regional offices in Auckland, Tauranga and New Plymouth.
