The TRAQR Application uses – • GPS (Global Positioning System) • GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) • GSM (Global System for Mobile) and • GIS (Geographic Information System) technologies to determine real-time information – location, time, speed and route of the vehicle. This information can be broadcast (Push SMS) to pre-programmed mobile numbers of the customer. Alternately, the same information may be sent in response to a query (Pull SMS) sent from the customer’s mobile phone. Additionally, customers can also view a map view of the exact location of the vehicle on their GPRS enabled mobile phones.
