Since our founding in 1934, we have developed many products that have been the first of their kind in Japan or the world, such as reflex trumpet speakers and electric megaphones. In addition to such products as Voice Evacuation Systems for various facilities, announcement broadcast systems for stations and airports, music and announcement broadcasting for commercial facilities, microphones for office conferences, and audio equipment for sports facilities and halls, we have also turned our focus toward video/security equipment, including security and surveillance cameras and image sensing systems. Looking back on our almost 90 years of history, what stands out to me is the way we have continuously contributed to society by helping customers to deliver the value that they truly desire to offer, namely reassurance, reliability, and emotion, through audio, video, and networking technologies. To further evolve this approach, we will be making enhancements to our establishment of a connected business that links our devices installed on customers’ premises via a network to make the status of equipment visible and facilitate the delivery of timely solutions, and also to the creation of a good experience through sound as exemplified by YUTTE, a service that makes broadcasting feel less of a challenge by allowing users to easily produce announcements simply by entering the text. And to support these initiatives, we are also focusing on executing a digital shift to put various types of data to use in our business, and cultivating human resources, i.e., developing employees who can identify their own roles and take action while still deriving enjoyment from their work. We will continue to enhance our corporate value by contributing to society through our products and services.
