The Play Den Nursery is a family owned unique setting, operating from premises in Upper Stratton, Swindon. Committed to the 'home from home' environment, we believe that children learn best when they feel safe, secure and have formed emotional attachments to key adults. We do this by: operating a key person system offering free 'settling in sessions' using daily diaries providing a daily activity message board to facilitate home to setting and setting to home communication. using online 'Learning Journals' (provided by Tapestry) that chronicles observations and assessments of your child. Working with a team of 8 staff, The Play Den cares for 30 children at any one time aged from 3 months to 11 years. We offer high quality activities and opportunities that are challenging yet achievable for your child including regular outings to the library, local shops and our allotment as well as annual outings such as to Butterfly World, Roves Farm or Farmer Gow's. Open 48 weeks a year, we also specialise in offering term-time only contracts with professionals and parents who do not require childcare during the holidays; reducing the annual costs to parents by 1/4! Open from *8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, we offer full and part-time places including government funding sessions for two-year-old children (conditions apply), funded sessions for three and four-year-old children for 15 hours per week and holiday clubs for children aged 3 months to 11 years.
