The Standard Syndicate is a marine and energy insurance provider in the Lloyd’s insurance market which commenced underwriting in 2015. The Standard Syndicate was established by The Standard Club, a leading international P&I club insuring 10% of the world’s tonnage. The syndicate therefore benefits from the club’s experience of marine insurance which stretches back to 1884, and has used this knowledge to create a new approach to marine and energy insurance, based on the needs of ship owners, operators and offshore energy operators. We are pleased to have been recognised by a number of prestigious industry awards. The Standard Syndicate was a finalist in the Insurance Day, London Market Awards, ‘Underwriting Team of the Year’ award and in the 'Underwriting Initiative of the Year' award at the Insider Honours. The Syndicate was also shortlisted in the ‘Commercial Insurer of the Year’ and the ‘Insurance Team of the Year’ awards at the Commercial Insurance Awards.
