The Ocean Project advances ocean conservation in partnership with zoos, aquariums, and museums (ZAMs), youth leaders, and youth-oriented organizations around the world. Our aim is to help our network of partners effectively engage their visitors and the public for conservation impact and outcomes. Since its formation in the late 1990s, The Ocean Project has grown from a handful of founding North American aquariums and NGOs into the world’s most extensive network for advancing ocean education and action. Our growing network includes approximately 2,000 partner organizations, agencies, and institutions in all 50 U.S. states and 150 other countries. We support our Partners with for effective visitor and target audience engagement, and ways to help with regional, national, and international policy-focused action. Since 2002, we also serve as the primary global coordinator for World Ocean Day (www.WorldOceanDay.org)
