Hi, I'm Kalman Gavriel Delmoor - popularly known as "The Jerusalem Scribe". The very first time that I saw the Hebrew writing on parchment I was awestruck, it was an amazing moment. The learning process was unbelievable, the person whom I was working with, gave me a lot of inspiration about the ideas of the Alef-Bet and being a scribe more than the technical skills of writing. This opened up a new door for me, I saw from there to take my skill set in creativity and combine it with my love for Torah learning to bring them together as one through Scribal Artwork. My vision is to create a very strong and inspirational Judaica artwork that is more spiritually and authentically based. The Hebrew letters and being a scribe are what I feel to be the most authentic Jewish art form there is because for one to write a Sefer Torah they must be a trained scribe and they must know the art of scribing so they may preserve the different Jewish arts throughout the centuries. A lot of the time there have been artists that make art and then connect it to or add on something Jewish about it, what I wanted was the opposite. I wanted to take something Jewish and then bring that out into art.
