We at The History Writers understand that your history, your heritage, defines who you are as an individual, community, organization or corporation. That is why it is our commitment to provide you with high quality, engaging, well-researched and reliable options to better preserve your past, tell your story or answer your historical questions. Focusing on archives and records management, genealogy, and historical research and narratives, we will work with you to document your past and create your legacy. Historical Narratives: Through historical, archival and genealogical research, The History Writers will document your history and when appropriate, deliver that history within historical context from the appropriate time period so that a better understanding of the past, present and future can take place. Genealogy: While family stories are critical to understanding ones past, it is the collections of documents and records (genealogy) that confirm that past. The History Writers will conduct anything from basic searches such as birth, death, and marriage records; smaller research projects for a specific purpose; or undertake a complete family genealogical research project. We will also provide consulting on your own project and provide photographic services for such things as cemetery headstones, home/homesteads, and other photo needs. Archival and Records Management: There are several aspects of archives (non-current) and records (current) management. In working with you, The History Writers help determine the historical and institutional value (appraisal), determine how to collect and organize records (processing), protect the physical integrity of the records (preservation), and assure quick and easy access as needed. __________
