The FPCD was founded in 2005 with a two-fold mission: To empower women through creating access to maternal health services, improving maternal health culture, and providing training opportunities; and to empower and engage youth by creating recreational spaces that promote inclusion, support education, and encourage positive participation in society. As an officially associated organization with the Department of Public Information of the United Nations, the FPCD helps to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals in the areas related to Maternal Health and Youth Empowerment. With projects in Timor-Leste and Haiti, the FPCD is assisting post-conflict communities with projects essential to their development.
