The Excellence Center/Engage in Palestine Information

The Excellence Center/Engage in Palestine for Education and Training Services was established in June 2011 to provide educational, cultural, social, and community services to its diverse group of international students, interns, and volunteers, as well as to Palestinian students in Hebron, West Bank The Excellence Center in Palestine is fully equipped with computers, high-speed wireless Internet, numerous classrooms, and a big kitchen. Our programs focus on learning, growth, and achievement to engage and connect our diverse group of international participants and local students. We invite international volunteers of all ages, from gap year students to retirees, who are interested in Palestine to join the center for our year-round, short term programs which last from 1 week to 3 months. Besides these internships and volunteering programs, the Excellence Center in Palestine offers super-intensive, intensive, and non-intensive Arabic immersion language courses, summer Arabic programs as well as Levantine and Palestinian Arabic online lessons taught by qualified Palestinian teachers and professors. Furthermore, the Excellence Center organizes local trips and activities to introduce program participants to Palestinian daily life, culture, and the political situation in the West Bank and refugee camps in the area. Through these outings, program participants have the opportunity to meet local Palestinian residents and gain an understanding for their lives and culture. The Excellence Center in Palestine welcomes participates of all ages (18+), from students to retirees, and offers flexibility on the duration of your stay. While we prefer participants to stay at least one month, participants may stay for as little as 1 week, or up to 12 weeks, which is the duration of visas granted upon arrival at the Tel Aviv airport. Our participants enjoy the opportunity to engage with the many internationals and locals they meet during their time in our programs, with the center.
