The Legislative Study Group provides an invaluable, nonpartisan legislative research service that ensures our members have the necessary information to make informed decisions on every piece of legislation before the Texas House. Each day the House considers legislation on the floor, caucus members receive a Floor Report at their desks with detailed analysis and recommendations on each bill debated. These floor reports have proven to be an invaluable tool for dissecting legislation and prepping for floor debate. The LSG also publishes Policy Reports on major state issues like quality education, health care, and economic opportunities for working families.
