TEDxNUS Information

ABOUT TED TEDxNUS, named after the National University of Singapore, is a conference organised by a group of young adults who wish to connect people of seemingly different and unrelated backgrounds and diverse life stories. Through inspiring ideas, we aim to enable participants, especially youths, to begin the search for a narrative greater than ourselves. The National University of Singapore is proud to associate with the TEDxNUS name and support us in this initiative we know and believe, will sustain for years to come. With TEDxNUS, our focus is on bringing to the youth topics and subjects that matter to them most in their developmental stage into adulthood. By gathering brilliant minds from diverse backgrounds, we aim to create an environment buzzing with passion and inspiration. The illustrious and spirited speakers of TEDxNUS will have a positive impact on the attitudes and mindsets of young Singaporeans, pushing them on a path of introspection while adding to their sense of national pride – that they do not have to look to elsewhere for inspiration or innovation. We aim to develop a culture of innovation that does not necessarily have to be technology-centric, but one that merely encourages the complete execution of one’s conceived idea to change the world. We strongly believe that this approach will inspire many students to pioneer a similar culture of sharing and contributing in their respective communities. Imagine a place where every minute you engage in a conversation, you are enlightened by either jaw-dropping innovations, fresh perspectives or inspiring ideas. We are committed to realizing that vision for TEDxNUS.
